On the 14th and 15th of March, the Oxford Kafka Research Centre organised the first of two workshops around the theme of ‘Kafka Global’. With scholars from the UK, Ireland, and Germany, from literary, film, and dance studies, the workshop addressed new and innovative ways of working with (Kafka’s) manuscripts; ways of thinking about Kafka as a global phenomenon; new approaches to Kafka’s reception and literary adaptation; Kafka and his work in film and ballet; and the successful construction of literary exhibitions.
The workshop gave us two days of inspiring papers and wide-ranging and lively discussion, for which we thank all participants!
