‘Kafka Global’ Workshop (2)

On 6 May, the Oxford Kafka Research Centre organised another workshop, this time to discuss the exciting possibilities of a cultural programme around the Kafka Global Project. With us to discuss were artists and producers from different disciplines in the arts. In the first roundtable, playwright Ed Harris and BBC Radio producer Sasha Yevtushenko discussed radio dramas based on Kafka’s work. In the second, choreographer Arthur Pita joined dramaturg Uzma Hameed and dance scholar Lucia Ruprecht to discuss dance adaptations of Kafka. And in the afternoon, we discussed Kafka and film with visual artist and filmmaker Daria Martin and Angelos Koutsourakis, a film scholar from the University of Leeds.

We thank all participants for a highly exciting day, filled to the brim with ideas.
