'Metamorphoses: In Search of Franz Kafka' among the Economist's best books of 2024 so far

'Metamorphoses: In Search of Franz Kafka', a new book by our associated researcher Dr Karolina Watroba, is an unconventional biography which tells Kafka’s story through the stories of his readers around the world, focusing on Oxford, Berlin, Prague, Jerusalem, and Seoul. Its media coverage has extended from the UK and Ireland to the US, India, and New Zealand, including positive reviews in the Observer, Economist, Financial Times, New Statesman, and Kirkus Review. This week it is featured among the best books of the year so far in the Economist.

Metamorphoses: In Search of Franz Kafka is available now in hardback, ebook, and audiobook in the UK and US. A paperback and a translation into Brazilian Portuguese are planned for early 2025.
